Court sides with journalists over releasing records in Oakland police sex abuse scandal
KTVU reported on BondGraham v. Superior Court, No. A165187, a published decision of the California Court of Appeal, First District. The court issued a writ of mandate directing the Alameda County Superior Court to vacate its order redacting the City of Oakland's investigative report on police misconduct and to reconsider the redactions under Penal Code section 832.7. In December 2023 the California Supreme Court declined to depublish the opinion. Reiser Law, P.C. is among counsel for the petitioners, journalists Darwin BondGraham and Ali Winston.
